Hank Carr is the founder and CEO/President of Corridor Properties, LLC in Johnson City, TN. He has been in the commercial development, management and brokerage business for over twenty years. Hank earned an Associates in Science degree from Lees McRae College in Banner Elk, NC, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration, Real Estate and Urban Affairs degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. Hank is currently a licensed commercial real estate broker in Tennessee and Virginia. He is a member of NorthEast Tennessee Association of REALTORS® and is a candidate to become a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
His career began in 1986 with the urban development arm of Portman Properties, owned by architect and developer John Portman in Atlanta, Georgia. Specific projects include the leasing and management of the 2.2 million square foot Peachtree Center including the Marriott Marquis One and Marriott Marquis Two office towers. From there he went on to serve with The Landmarks Group and their development of the 680,000 square foot Promenade One office development. In 1992, he spent one year in the Atlanta suburbs working for the Rubenstein Company leasing and managing several suburban office and flex parks. In 1998, Hank returned to his native home of Johnson City and worked as Director of Marketing and Sales for Colliers International focusing primarily on developing the Med Tech Regional Business Park, a 130-acre mixed-use medical & technology oriented development with 22 individual building sites valued at over $20 million. In 2003, Hank continued working in commercial real estate brokerage in Johnson City with TCI Group.
In 2007, Hank formed Corridor Properties, LLC, a commercial real estate services firm that focuses on sales and marketing, land development, property management, consulting, and project management. Corridor Properties, LLC is currently providing management and lease administration services for over 1.8 million square feet of office and medical space, including 9 condominium associations.
Hank is active in the community, currently serving on the Public Building Authority of Johnson City, Industrial Development Board of Johnson City, Friends of Mountain States Political Action Committee, as well as the Bank of Tennessee, Washington County TN Advisory Board. He enjoys meeting with and learning from his C12 Group of Christian CEO’s.
